Duke Commit Luke Kennard played exceptionally well at a four way scrimmage at his home, Franklin High School, against some top programs in Ohio. Teams in attendance were Cincinnati Moeller, Pickerington Central and Wayne. With no surprise, Kennard showcased tremendous body control, an ability to finish with contact and his widely known stroke that had Duke calling. At 6’5, Kennard was often running the point, distributing the basketball, and running the offense with patience. Luke was among many players that performed well and is projected to have a great senior season at Franklin before he is officially a Blue Devil. [More]

Derryck Thornton committed to Duke to become a Blue Devil and part of the Class of 2015. With the departure of Tyus Jones for the 2015 NBA Draft, Duke needed a point guard who could step in and play big minutes immediately. Derryck Thornton has a combination of speed and ball handling skills that make him nearly impossible to guard. The Findlay Prep floor general is very athletic, knocks down threes consistently and gets into the paint at will. Look out for Duke’s 2015 Recruiting Class to make some noise next year.
